WHAT CAN WE HELP YOU WITH

Plastic injection molding is the manufacturing process where melted plastics are injected into a mold to form the shape for a desired part. These plastic can create items ranging from simple plastic covers to complex parts such as motors, gears, or even car body panels. Our process is efficient yet personalized as our designers and technicians will work with you to see your designs and products come to life and to make any adjustments necessary. If you are unsure whether or not your products require injection molding. Please read through the following FAQ or send us an email at info@hungkuan.com>.

1. Do I need to have a complete design by the time I request for a mold?

No. At Hung Kuan we have onsite engineers and industrial designers with over 50 years of experience. They can guide you through the process of designing molds and parts in order to meet your project’s needs. Our designers and engineers are experts in processing sketches and blueprints and can quickly turn a concept into a product. In addition, our engineers can help you choose your resin and production method based on the specific requirements of your project.

2. Is it expensive to have a mold constructed?

Hung Kuan customizes every mold and prices may range based on mold complexity and the number of cavities required. A mold typically costs thousands of dollars; however, depending on the quantity of the order, Hung Kuan has a special rebate program to reimburse the cost of the mold. To find out more about this, please mention “free custom molds” when requesting a quote. (Note: once the order is complete the customer (you) own the mold)

3. How long does it take to have a mold constructed? And when can I expect my project to be completed?

A mold can take anywhere from 6 to 10 weeks depending on the complexity of the mold and the number of revisions required.
